Hermanus Whale Watching
Hermanus is regarded as the whale watching capital of South Africa and there are few better ways to see these gentle giants in their natural environment than on a boat based whale watching trip. The tours are operated from the New Harbour in Hermanus and departs 3 to 4 times daily depending on the time of year and weather and sea conditions.

The Hermanus area is situated between two large lagoons, with a smaller lagoon in the middle. Hermanus consists of various settlements namely, Fisherhaven, Hawston, Vermont, Onrus, Sandbaai, Hemel en Aarde Valley, Mount Pleasant, Zwelihle and Hermanus. A diversity of peoples live harmoniously in this exquisitely beautiful heart of the Cape Whale Coast.

bird watchers can delight in spotting an astonishing number of different birds. You can walk along

– JonahGrotto Beach is one of many beaches along the shores of Hermanus. Grotto is different to most though due to its physical characteristics. This beach stretches on for (litterally kilometers) along the bay and is great for swimming or long easy walks.
